Stuffing for the parcels

Having beaten the stuffing out of

the meat, we now prepare to put it back. If you have gone a little too far and hard in the bashing department, you can scrape the bits of meat off the floor and walls and family members, and give to the pet for dinner.

By this time, have a rest and a cuppa; you don’t want to overdo it.

Put your feet up and have a chat to your Mum, hubby, dog, whoever will listen to you.

Ignore the children stealing your prepared ingredients. They love ham, cheese and boiled eggs- don’t stress – its Christmas – the little darlings!

One thing I learnt from my Mother, always have extra recipe ingredients when kids are helping.

When rested - into a bowl, add the following, in any order you wish, checking that these recipe ingredients have not disappeared.

ham and sultanas

Ham and sultanas

Two chopped boiled eggs into small pieces, a handful of chopped ham, the same of sultanas, and grated parmesan cheese, some salt and pepper.

Beat a couple of eggs together, and mix in with the ingredients – the kids tend not to like raw egg, so you are safe with this one.

Now, tear up some white bread into breadcrumbs, about thumbnail size and add to the other stuff.

The kids like doing this, but just watch out for whole pieces of bread.

Take the kids to feed the ducks with the crusts later. If the children are playing up - feed them to the ducks.
