Pasta sauce - and spaghetti
Now you can have healthypasta sauce with your spaghetti dish. To serve two, you will need
- long spaghetti or shapes of your choice
- 500g lean mince beef
- extra virgin olive oil
- 1 beef stock cube
- 1 large tin of tomato puree
- 1 onion
- 1 piece of garlic
- 1 stick of celery
- 1 carrot
- 1 cup of water
- pepper
Bring a large saucepan full of water to the boil and add spaghetti. Cook for recommended time on the packet or until it is cooked through, strain.

Spaghetti with sauce
Chop the onion, celery and carrot into small pieces and make the chop the garlic into a paste. Heat a small amount of oil in a pan and add the onion, cook for approx 2 minutes. Add mince, separate and stir around until it can cook evenly. Once the meat has browned, add the tomato puree, water stock cube and pepper and mix until combined. Add the remaining vegetables and bring to the boil stirring, then simmer for approx 20-30 minutes stirring occasionally. Once the sauce has properly reduced to about the same consistency as the tomato puree was, you can add the strained spaghetti and mix it through until heated. Your spaghetti is ready to serve!
